TNC Serves Digital Map Services

by Dorn on July 17, 2010

The Nature Conservancy recently  announced some new web maps and map services available at http://maps.tnc.org/.

TNC is highlighting map services for their core conservation data (ecoregional assessments & portfolio, conservation projects, and TNC lands), but they are also hosting many more from around the world. The map services are available for users of ArcGIS, Google Earth, and ArcGIS Explorer, and web map authors can access the services either as WMS or ArcGIS Server 9.3 formats.

All in all, this is pretty cool that we can all easily access these up-to-date resources direct from TNC.  This is something we’d like to be seeing coming from government datasets and from other non-profits.
